About Me

Welcome to the blog. I am very excited to have you here!

From Maryland to DC and beyond (I know I haven’t gone very far), two things remain consistent in my life: Notebooks & Coffee. In my semi short life time, I’ve consumed countless amounts of caffeine, scribbled on numerous leaves of paper, read an abundance of inky words, and spilled so much of the caffeinated coffee on both the paper and the ink (and then it smears and the paper shrivels and it’s all a disaster), hence Her Notebooks & Coffee was named.

The idea for this blog came to me in the fall of 2014. In my first post grad year, I realized that my reading habits had dwindled, as had my writing habits. With the encouragement of a colleague, I started blogging and it’s been a treat ever since.   Although I’ve since expanded my writing beyond this, my personal blog, into writing for work – newsletters & brochures, as well as freelance work for the Hellogiggles blog, Her Notebooks & Coffee remains nearest and dearest to my heart. I hope you like what you read and accept it for what it is:  a hodge podge, kind of like my eclectic personality and interests.

Just a bit about me:  I spend a lot of time working with magnet school teachers and administrators at a small non-profit teachers association based in Washington, DC. I also spend a lot of time pawing through used clothing, jewelry, and housewares at various thrift, consignment, and antique shops. I love color and fashion, books and hot beverages, and I’m always looking for new opportunities to learn, write, grow, and expand my work and hobbies.
